VAHID MOHAMMADI
Vahid Mohammadi, born in November 1982, spent his childhood and adolescence in Zanjan city with a "poetic spirit." His first artistic experiences began with joining small cultural groups in his hometown, and he graduated in painting. According to him, the experience of art university and socializing with fellow students had a profound impact on his life and introduced him to the coordinates of artistic work.
At first glance, light and darkness, experientialism in coloration, and contemplation around the concept of "happening" form the main theme of Wahid's later works. He calls it "reconstructing the abstract space" and says, "Creating for me means that the event happens to the minimum and what I do is controlling the events. I am looking for a way to paint a landscape and a street corner that does not differ in approach."
Vahid's world of works is mixed and blurred like a distant and close image, rich in familiar and strange colors with a musical tone and expression. His mental image of reality stands outside of time and place, creating a dislocation where "nature, cities, and roads" collide and connect with each other.
For him, abstraction is not inventing an unknown reality. It is like organizing the chaos of the surrounding world and creating pieces of music where colors, while being an image of objects and things, also reflect the artist's fluid flow of thought.
Vahid brings his thoughts and moments or inner dialogue to the ground. Painting for him is more of a way of thinking deeply. However, this method does not create a language with predetermined codes. It turns into poetry where words are colors and concepts are feelings that must be seen and understood. Therefore, painting becomes a movement to reach the roots of senses and a journey to discover the origin of things. His works, while referring to something seemingly familiar outside of themselves, can be infinitely interpreted.
Vahid began his journey of abstraction from the representation of objects and landscapes in his early works and has now reached the registration and display of all those things that are undeniable. Showing instead of saying, about the experience of being in the world.
"Roads and Flowers Disappear" creates a window to see the surrounding world without the usual limitations and preconceptions so that we can understand objects and phenomena around us in a new, creative, and different way. It is like taking a step on a path that seeks an answer to this question: What is the meaning of our daily life experience? And the answer may be nothing or many things.

BITA RAZAVI
Bita Rezvani, an Iranian artist living in Finland, showcased her collection titled "Objects That Affect Me When I Document Them" at the rotating exhibition of Henna Björk in the Lajordi collection. This exhibition includes several collections of the artist's works that, through conceptual photography, sound, video, and installation, try to connect her personal experiences with larger systems such as gender, marriage institution, and migration, and question them. Each collection starts with an everyday event in the artist's life and then expands with broader questions. In this collection, objects such as cultural symbols are considered that play a role in creating meaning and value in their creation.
